MuscleTech Xenadrine Fat Loss Supplement

Xenadrine which was recently release by MuscleTech consists of an interesting mix of both stimulants and a few no-stimulant ingredients. The addition of green coffee extract is taken from many well-respected studies published in the Journal of International Medical Research.

Without going into details on how the study was done with 50 volunteers taking 450mg of green coffee extract called Clorogenic Acid for 12 weeks, we will list the findings very briefly. The results were astounding with the average volunteer losing 12 pounds of fat. The scientists tell us the reason for the weight loss is because of the reduction of glucose absorption by 6.9%.

Muscletech have standardized the green coffee extract using a Chlorogenic Acid content of 45% in Xenadrine. This Chlorogenic Acid is a bioactive compound responsible for the weight-loss seen in the studies. Xenadrine is combined with a few other important fat-burning extracts which we will briefly describe in the list below.

Caffeine anhydrous is a key stimulant based fat-burner as it will increase the important noradrenaline levels stimulating calorie use. From a training point of view it also increases the energy and your focus you put into your workouts. It is important to note that research has seen a tolerance build-up over time when this is taken for long periods.

Phaseolus vulgaris or white kidney bean is similar to green coffee extract but acts more like a calorie-blocker than the fat-burner action of the coffee extract. Studies show us that the white kidney bean can effectively block or reduce carbohydrate absorption.

Garcinia Mangostana commonly known as Mangosteen is a fruit containing polyphenols including Xanthones. Although various studies done on Mangosteen show that it will help with fat-loss it certainly is not the key ingredient found in Xenadrine.

Nelumbo Nucifera (higenamine) also known as NN is the Indian Lotus flower shown in many studies to induce lipolysis (fat-breakdown) because of the Higenamine content found in NN. Muscletech have once again standardized NN to contain 1% of Higenamine.

Perilla Frutescens has also been standardized by Muscletech to Rosmarinic Acid (Rosemary) acting as an effective anti-oxidant. Perilla Frutescens has not shown any direct weight-loss advantages and was simply added by Muscletech because of the anti-oxidant effect.

Centella Asiatica also known as Gota Kola is an old Ayurvedic herb that has been used as a very effective cognitive enhancement agent. The addition of this supplement was added by Muscletech to enhance the sensory aspect of Xenadrine.

Caraway seed contains Carvacrol which clearly showed in a study done in 2012 that it was able to negate weight gain in mice when they were fed a high fat diet. Although this is not conclusive proof the addition of caraway seeds will certainly not do any harm.
